Meet Our Executive Team
Mickey Anne Benson, PhD, President & CEO
Dr. Benson holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology, Adult Learning and Organizational Behavior. She has spent 35 years as a manager and consultant teaching, guiding and assisting individuals and institutions through change, as they move toward increased workplace competence and organizational effectiveness.
Dr. Benson offers master-level competencies in peak performance leadership development and executive assessment and coaching. Bottom line oriented, she is a superb communicator who is adept at identifying the real, underlying problems in organizations. She then leads those organizations and executives to creative, unifying, long-term solutions.
A skilled negotiator, mediator and facilitator, Dr. Benson has built strategic alliances to leverage resources and improve working relationships across and within federal, private and tribal entities. A significant portion of her work has been for federal and state agencies. However, she has managed numerous private industry mergers, acquisitions, RIFs and consolidations, while revitalizing staff to improve communication and morale.
Dr. Benson has led successful transformations in large organizations and expanded effectiveness and improved services through human capital management and organizational learning. One of her current responsibilities is Project Manager for a team of Curriculum Developers/Instructors/Coaches working on a multi-year contract with the Department of Defense/Defense Senior Leaders Development Program.
Candice Mathew Healy, MPA
Candice Mathew Healy, MPA, is Monitor’s Vice President of Operations. She oversees and manages all logistical aspects of Monitor’s ongoing federal projects and administers project budgets. Candice also interfaces with all parties involved with project delivery including government project officers, facilitators, and administrative staff to ensure consistency and clarity of communication and effective project delivery. Prior to joining the Monitor team, Candice served as the Managing Director of the National Conference Series on Quality Health Care for Culturally Diverse Populations, a biennial conference series held from 1998 through 2013, that provided a national forum for discussion of a broad spectrum of issues related to cultural and linguistic competence and the reduction of health disparities. She was also the project manager for the DiversityRx-Your Voice initiative, which facilitated collaboration and networking amongst people in the field of cross cultural health care. Candice earned her Master’s of Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs at Syracuse University, with a concentration in non-profit management.
